Cancellation Policy

At Varanyam Resorts, we understand that travel plans may change. This Cancellation & Refund Policy outlines the terms applicable to all reservations made through our website, reservation desk, travel partners, or third-party booking platforms.

1. Reservation Confirmation

A reservation is confirmed only after successful payment of the applicable booking amount and receipt of a booking confirmation email from Varanyam Resorts.

2. Cancellation Policy

Flexible Rate Bookings

• 15 days or more before check-in: 100% refund of the booking amount (excluding payment gateway/convenience charges, if any).
• 8 to 14 days before check-in: 75% refund of the booking amount.
• 4 to 7 days before check-in: 50% refund of the booking amount.
• Less than 72 hours before check-in: No refund.
• No Show: 100% retention of the booking amount.

Non-Refundable / Promotional Offers

Bookings made under promotional offers, discounted packages, early bird offers, festival offers, or non-refundable rates cannot be cancelled, modified, or refunded.

3. Date Modification

• One complimentary date change may be allowed if requested at least 15 days before check-in, subject to room availability.
• Any rate difference for revised dates shall be payable by the guest.
• Date modifications requested within 15 days of arrival may attract additional charges or may not be permitted.

4. Early Departure

If a guest checks out before the confirmed departure date, no refund will be provided for unused nights or services.

5. No Show Policy

Failure to arrive on the scheduled check-in date without prior written communication will be treated as a No Show, and the entire booking amount will be forfeited.

6. Refund Processing

Approved refunds will be processed:

• Within 7–10 business days for UPI, Credit Card, Debit Card, and Net Banking payments.
• Refunds will be credited only through the original payment method used during booking.
• Processing time may vary depending on your bank or payment provider.

7. Cancellation by Varanyam Resorts

In rare situations such as natural disasters, government restrictions, safety concerns, force majeure events, or operational reasons, Varanyam Resorts reserves the right to cancel a reservation.

In such cases, guests will be offered one of the following options:

• Full refund of the booking amount paid.
• Rescheduling of the reservation to a future available date.
• Resort credit of equivalent value for future use.

No additional compensation, travel expenses, or consequential damages shall be payable.

8. Group Bookings & Events

Bookings for:

• Destination Weddings
• Corporate Events
• Conferences
• Group Reservations (5 or more rooms)
• Private Celebrations

may have separate cancellation terms mentioned in the respective agreement or quotation.

9. Third-Party Bookings

Reservations made through Online Travel Agencies (OTA) such as MakeMyTrip, Booking.com, Goibibo, Agoda, Expedia, or travel agents are subject to the cancellation and refund policies of the respective booking platform.

Guests should contact the platform through which the reservation was made.

10. Force Majeure

Varanyam Resorts shall not be liable for cancellations or delays caused by circumstances beyond its reasonable control, including but not limited to:

• Natural disasters
• Floods
• Landslides
• Earthquakes
• Pandemic or epidemic
• Government restrictions
• Civil disturbances
• Road closures
• Extreme weather conditions
• Power failures

Refunds or rescheduling in such cases will be considered at the sole discretion of the management.
